Another year comes to a close and another begins, so life goes. I am one of those chronically hopeful persons who loves new years. I totally make resolutions, and goals and plans, I adhere to those resolutions at least 72% of the time, ok maybe closer to 54%, BUT I still remain hopeful that I will follow through, and that is what is important! I have my personal goals for this year and we have some goals as a married couple. Like most people we vow to save money every year, and honestly we are pretty good but could certainly be better. What is different about this year is I have a budget. A real physical spread sheet that I log our bills, and goals and what we can spend and what we will save. Luckily for me I have a friend who is a pro at this stuff and she has been giving me pointers, which is very helpful. Having the budget does make you very conscious of what you buy. I am looking forward to what we will be able to save up this year!
This year for New Years Eve we went to Hotel Boulderado's James Bond themed night. Two live bands, decadent Hors d'oeuvres, champagne, and a really fun photo booth equipped with props. Ladies were dressed to the nines in sequenced gowns, black pumps and furs and the men were in their best tuxedos and suits. Our ravishing group looked quite Bondesque and we danced the night away! At Midnight we toasted champagne as the hotel released hundreds of balloons overhead and I got a kiss from the most handsome Bond at the ball!
