last day of work and moving

So I am FINALLY in Steamboat! A month of living separately and driving back and forth kinda sucked. I'm so glad to be here. I am also glad to have hired movers. Man, what a difference, it was still a lot of work but far less than last time we moved. We will have to move our stuff once more, from the storage unit to the house we will be moving into, but that won't be so bad. Currently, we are staying in our landlord's apartment above his garage until the house is available. Our lease is actually for June 1st, but due to some different circumstances, I have my doubts we will be in that soon. But here's hoping for the best!

So for the last few days I have been relaxing and enjoying myself. The view is amazing and every morning I wake up to a view of my horses grazing on a lush green pasture. The sunsets are amazing here, and every day I feel so lucky to live in such a lovely place. I don't think it has quite set in that I really live here, I still feel like I am on vacation and any minute I'll have to go home.

My last day of work was last Friday. It was truly bittersweet. I was so excited to move and start my life here, but so sad to leave such a great group. I can honestly say this was one of the best jobs I've had in my career so far, and I can only hope to find another job like that. They all took me out for a farewell party, it was such a good time!

Arni and I hope to have a ton of adventures this summer, and will continue to keep you all updated!

Pictures

A little update and then some pictures.

We are in the process of moving still, Arni started his new job already and loves it and I am staying here for a few weeks to work and then I will also move. The horses are enjoying their new farm. 80 acres with so much grass to enjoy and a few new horse buddies. Currently Arni has a roommate who is a very nice man from Switzerland (I swear, I don't know how we find so many international people). I stayed with them last weekend after bringing the horses to the new place. He has a little dachshund named Lila and she's just cute as a button and got on real well with Giselle.

The good news is we have found a place to rent, the bad news is we don't know when we get to move in!!! It's quite frustrating. The tenants living there now said they would be out by June, then it changed to July, and now they don't know if they can even get out by then! I could maybe do transition housing for a  month, but 2 plus?! That's a bit much. Hopefully this will work out soon, and I'd like to be in no later than July 1st.

Other than that not much for news, here are some pictures from that last month or so.
