Florida trip

It had been almost 15 months since I was last in Florida, and since I found a very cheap flight, I figured it was time! What a perfect time I chose. It was soooooo nice to get into some warmer weather and away from this slushy winter here in Colorado. I couldn't have asked for better weather in FL. I broke out my flip flops and tank tops and spent some time on the farm. My mom has chickens that seem to multiply, giving her up to 33 eggs a day sometimes! We were giving away fresh eggs by the dozens to my friends whom I hadn't seen in a while. I also got to spend some time in the saddle which was nice. I've done some riding in Colorado, but not too much as the snow and mud make it slick and unsafe in some circumstances. My husband had to stay home to work and finish up another class he is taking. I know he wanted to come and everyone wished he could be there, but this class is through Stanford University and extremely intense, so he appreciated the uninterrupted time spent on classwork.

Bryan, Annie and Emiliana stopped by to see me

Kati and I spent Friday together riding in Spruce Creek, she even packed lunch and hard cider for us, I miss our riding days!

I met Uma's pony Twinkie for the first time, he's a good little boy

Some of my moms many hens

Tessa and Dave picked me up from the airport and I took them riding the next day.

Egg hunting, look how cute they match!

Some of my old coworkers. Beth threw a heck of a cute party.

Chase enjoying his Disney cookie.

Debbie and I made it to beach side, it was too windy to lay out, so we went for a nice walk.

I was craving seafood so my parents took me to Blackbeards for some shrimp and oysters!

On Sunday we all went for a ride in Palm Bluff where Uma showed me her much improved riding skills!

On my last morning, Michelle brought her boys our to the farm to pick eggs and ride the pony, they loved it!

Here is hoping it won't be another 15 months before I get down there again! Árni and I are hoping to make it out to see Brett on his island sometime this summer, and hopefully we get in a few more ski days before the season is over!
